Xmark- HDPE Floor Underlayment

Xmark Floor Underlayment shields carpet and hardwood floors against the dangerous and costly effects of mould, and mildew arising from water or moisture exposure. When water evaporates from bear concrete floors it is absorbed by the plywood. Moisture laden plywood creates an ideal breeding ground for mold. As moisture evaporates from the plywood it is absorbed by the hardwood floor or carpet.

Xmark Floor Underlayment works by separating the interior floor surface (tile, carpet or hardwood) from the concrete foundation floor. The High Density Polyethylene dimpled surface (5/16" high) elevates the plywood from the concrete foundation floor which creates an air pocket underneath the underlayment to diffuse moisture evaporating from the concrete and minimize moisture transmission into the floors.
