Glyptal- Dark Green Flat Semi-Conducting Paint

GE 9921 GLYPTAL Green Conducting Paint was designed for equalizing voltage stress on electrical insulation surfaces to prevent or decrease corona damage.

GE 9921 is suggested for equalizing voltage stress on the insulation surfaces of cables, transformers, and rotating equipment. It is not suitable for normal paint-type applications.

It is used for coating insulation surfaces to prevent of decrease corona discharge and resulting damage. 9921 will conduct these high voltage charges to ground due to its low surface resistivity. Such voltages are induced on the on the outside of high voltage coils of generators and other electrical equipment.
